Ek woon in Moembaai—a city that never sleeps, where dreams stretch as high as the skyscrapers and heartbreak runs as deep as the sea that borders our shores. Each morning, I join the tide of millions moving through the streets—some chasing success in glass towers, others simply struggling to make it through another day. The trains are packed, the traffic never ends, and ambition fills the air like a pulse. Yet behind every face, I sense the same quiet ache—a longing for something more, for Someone more.
Mumbai is a city of extremes. In one moment, I pass luxury apartments that scrape the sky; in the next, I walk through lanes where whole families live in a single room. It’s a place of art and industry, wealth and want, brilliance and brokenness. The rhythm of commerce never stops, but so many hearts remain restless, searching for peace that the world cannot give.
What breaks me most are the children—the boys and girls who wander the train stations, sleep beneath flyovers, or beg at traffic lights. Their eyes hold stories of pain no child should know, and I often wonder what Jesus sees when He looks at them—how His heart must break, and yet how much He loves this city and its people.
But even in all this noise and need, I can sense God’s Spirit moving—quietly, powerfully. Followers of Jesus are rising up in love: feeding the hungry, rescuing the forgotten, praying through the night. I believe revival is coming—not just in church buildings, but in film studios, factories, offices, and homes. The Kingdom of God is drawing near, one heart at a time.
I am here to love, to serve, to pray—to be His witness in this city of dreams and despair. I long to see Mumbai bow before Jesus, the only One who can bring beauty from chaos and peace to every restless heart.
Bid vir the millions chasing success and survival in Mumbai to encounter Jesus, the true source of peace and purpose. (Matthew 11:28–30)
Bid vir the countless street children and poor families to experience God’s love through tangible care and community. (Jakobus 1:27)
Bid vir unity and courage among believers to bring light into every sphere—from slums to skyscrapers. (Matteus 5:14–16)
Bid vir God’s Spirit to move across Mumbai’s creative, business, and working-class sectors, transforming lives from within. (Acts 2:17–21)
Bid vir a citywide awakening—where rich and poor alike find identity, hope, and healing in Christ. (Habakuk 3:2)
