Ek woon in Lagos, a city that never sleeps — vibrant, chaotic, and alive with dreams. It is the beating heart of Nigeria, a nation of incredible diversity. With over 250 ethnic groups and hundreds of languages, our land is full of color and culture, from the humid coasts of the south to the arid plains of the north. We are blessed with natural wealth, but our greatest treasure is our people — resilient, creative, and full of faith.

Yet, life in Nigeria is not easy. Though we are Africa’s most populous and wealthiest nation, more than half of our people live in poverty. In the north, followers of Jesus face brutal persecution from Boko Haram and other extremist groups. Entire communities have been destroyed; believers live under constant threat. In the cities, including Lagos, we wrestle with corruption, food shortages, and growing inequality. Many of our children wander the streets, abandoned or hungry, while others chase opportunity in a system that often fails them.

Lagos itself is a place of tension and promise. Our streets overflow with energy — traffic jams, markets, skyscrapers, and slums all woven together. Pollution clouds the air, yet prayers rise higher still. I believe God is calling His people in Nigeria to rise — to be His voice and His hands. In the midst of broken systems, He is building a Kingdom of righteousness, and through His words, works, and wonders, we will see our land healed. Lagos can once again be a light — not just for Nigeria, but for all of Africa.
