QUETTA

PAKISTAN
Quay lại

I live in Quetta — a city shaped by mountains, dust, and survival. Surrounded by rugged hills and close to the Afghan border, Quetta feels like the edge of everything. Trucks rumble through carrying goods and stories from faraway places. Refugees arrive quietly, carrying loss in their eyes. Life here is hard, but it is honest. People endure because they must.

Quetta is a city of many peoples — Baloch, Pashtun, Hazara, and Afghan families — each carrying their own history of struggle. Violence and fear have touched nearly every household. Markets reopen after attacks. Children return to school after grief. The sound of prayer rises daily, yet peace feels fragile, always just out of reach.

To follow Jesus here is to live carefully and courageously. Believers are few, gatherings are small, and faith is often hidden. Yet I have seen God at work — in acts of compassion, in dreams that stir hearts, in quiet conversations that open doors no one expected. Quetta may look like a borderland of conflict, but I believe it is also a gateway of hope. What God begins here can flow across mountains and borders into places long closed to the gospel.
