I walk the streets of Kolkata every day, a city of stories—ancient temples beside crumbling colonial buildings, rivers of people weaving through traffic and market stalls. The air is alive with honking horns, street chatter, and the scent of spices, but beneath the bustle, I see a deeper longing in the eyes of the people—questions about life, hope, and peace that only Jesus can answer.

Here, India’s complexity is alive in every corner. So many languages swirl around me, thousands of ethnic groups press close together, and the caste system still shapes who eats, who works, who survives. Wealth glimmers beside extreme poverty; devotion battles doubt and skepticism in every home and neighborhood.

My heart aches for the children—the little ones with no family, sleeping along railway tracks, running barefoot through alleys, desperate for safety and love. Yet even here, I sense God moving. Doors open quietly—hearts soften, hands reach out, and His Spirit calls us to serve in ways only He can multiply.

I am here as a follower of Jesus, praying, caring, and stepping into His work. I long to see Kolkata not merely survive but be transformed—homes filled with hope, marketplaces bright with His love, and every heart touched by the truth and healing of Jesus, the One who can make all things new.

प्रार्थना जोड

For the Children of Kolkata – Pray for the little ones on the streets and railway stations, that Jesus would protect them, provide for their needs, and reveal His love to them in ways that bring true hope and belonging.
For Hearts Open to the Gospel – Pray and ask God to soften the hearts of the people —neighbors, market vendors, and passersby—so they would recognize Jesus as the answer to their deepest questions and longings.
For the Church to Shine – Pray that followers of Jesus here would boldly live out His love, acting as hands and feet in homes, schools, and marketplaces, reflecting the Kingdom in tangible ways.
For Healing and Reconciliation – Pray and lift up the divisions in Kolkata—between rich and poor, castes, and communities—and ask God to bring His reconciliation, forgiveness, and unity across the city.
For a Spirit-Led Movement – Pray that a wave of prayer, disciple-making, and outreach would rise from Kolkata, spreading God’s Kingdom throughout West Bengal and beyond, touching every street and neighborhood with His light.
