I live in Lucknow, the heart of Uttar Pradesh—a city known for its elegance, history, and hospitality. Every corner tells a story: the old Mughal architecture, the scent of kebabs in the air, and the rhythm of Urdu poetry still echoing through its streets. Yet beneath the surface beauty, I sense a deep hunger—people searching for peace, for truth, for something that lasts.
Lucknow is a crossroads of movement and trade—bustling markets, factories, and roads filled with people chasing their daily needs. It’s a city where Hindu, Muslim, and Christian families live side by side, where culture and faith are intertwined, and yet hearts remain divided by class, religion, and struggle.
As I walk through the old city near the Imambara or past the railway station where so many children sleep, I feel the weight of both beauty and brokenness. So many little ones are abandoned or forgotten, growing up without love or guidance. My heart aches for them—and yet I know God sees them all. He has not forgotten this city.
I believe God is stirring something new in Lucknow. I see it in small gatherings of believers praying quietly in homes, in acts of kindness that open doors, and in hearts softening to the name of Jesus. I’m here to love, to serve, and to stand in the gap—for this city that I call home.
My prayer is that Lucknow will one day be known not only for its culture and cuisine but for being a city touched by the love of Christ—where reconciliation replaces division, and where His peace reigns over every heart and home.
- Pray for hearts to awaken to the love of Jesus:
Ask God to soften hearts across Lucknow—from the busy Chowk markets to the quiet neighborhoods of Gomti Nagar—that many would encounter His peace and truth in a city long shaped by tradition and religion.
- Pray for unity and healing across communities:
Lucknow carries a deep history of both culture and division. Pray for bridges of understanding between Hindu, Muslim, and Christian families, that the love of Christ would bring reconciliation where suspicion or fear has lingered.
- Pray for the children and the poor:
Many children live on the streets or work in factories to survive. Pray that God would raise up His people to care for them, provide safe homes, and show them the Father’s love that never abandons.
- Pray for the growing church:
Though small, the community of believers in Lucknow is learning to shine with courage. Pray for pastors, youth, and house fellowships—that they would be strengthened, protected, and equipped to serve with compassion and wisdom.
- Pray for a move of the Holy Spirit across the city:
From the old Mughal walls to the new metro lines, pray for a fresh wind of revival—that Jesus’ name would be lifted high in every part of Lucknow, and that His kingdom would take root in homes, schools, and workplaces.
