On the day of Pentecost, Jesus’ friends were together when suddenly there was a sound like a rushing wind! Flames like fire appeared over their heads, and they were filled with the Holy Spirit. They began speaking in other languages — praising God with joy!
Let’s think about it:
Can you imagine being in that room, hearing the wind and seeing the fire? Wow! The Holy Spirit didn’t come quietly — He came with power! God wanted the world to know something new was happening. The same Spirit that filled them can fill us today too.
Let’s Pray Together:
Dear God, thank You for the amazing power of the Holy Spirit. Thank You that You fill Your people with boldness, love, and joy. Please fill me with Your Spirit today so I can live for You. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
Action Idea:
Make a paper wind spinner or draw a picture of a flame. As you watch it spin or look at your drawing, thank God for His Spirit!
Memory Verse:
“All of them were filled with the Holy Spirit.” — Acts 2:4a
Justin’s Thought
Can you picture it? A loud wind, flames of fire, and suddenly, everyone is speaking different languages! That’s how the Holy Spirit showed up at Pentecost. It was like a big, exciting party where God said, “I’m here, and I’m giving you power to tell everyone about Jesus!” And that same power is for us today!
Grown ups:
Today, adults are praying for Jewish believers to be bold and filled with the Spirit — just like Peter on Pentecost!
LET’S PRAY
Holy Spirit, fill Jewish believers with power and courage to share Jesus.
Jesus, pour out Your love and joy on Messianic families today.
