BANGKOK

THAILAND

I live in Bangkok, a city that never seems to sleep — filled with bright lights, crowded streets, and the constant hum of life. It is the heart of Thailand, where people from every corner of the country and beyond come seeking opportunity, yet so many are still searching for peace. Beneath the skyline of glass towers and golden temples, there is both beauty and brokenness woven together.

Nearly everyone I meet is Buddhist. From the morning offerings to the saffron-robed monks walking barefoot through the alleys, faith is part of the rhythm of daily life here. I often watch people kneeling before idols, their faces earnest, longing for merit, peace, or hope — and I pray that one day they will come to know the Living God who already loves them completely.

But Thailand is not only spiritually poor; it is a land of deep suffering for many. Children wander the streets without families. Others are trapped in brothels, fishing boats, or sweatshops — unseen and unheard. My heart aches as I walk these roads, knowing that our Father sees every tear. He loves this nation passionately, and I believe He is calling His Church — here and around the world — to rise up and cry out for the lost, the broken, and the least of these in Thailand. The harvest is ripe, and His love is greater than all the darkness in this city.

Mkazo wa Maombi

  • Ombea the people of Bangkok to encounter the love of Jesus amid the busyness and spiritual confusion of the city. (Matthew 11:28)

  • Ombea Buddhist monks and seekers to experience revelation of the true peace that comes only through Christ. (John 14:6)

  • Ombea the rescue and restoration of the vulnerable children of Thailand, that Abba would place them in safety and surround them with love. (Psalm 82:3–4)

  • Ombea believers in Bangkok to walk boldly in compassion, sharing the gospel through both word and action. (Matthew 5:16)

  • Ombea the Spirit of God to pour out over Thailand, breaking chains of idolatry and bringing revival from Bangkok to the smallest village. (Habakkuk 2:14)
