Let’s also use our time to Pray for 5 People we know who are not followers of Jesus, using the reminder card on the next page!

Why Pray for the Hindu World?

  1. Because God loves Hindus deeply. More than 1.2 billion people belong to Hindu traditions, and every one is precious in His sight (John 3:16).
  2. Because the Gospel is needed. Most Hindus have never heard a clear explanation of salvation through Jesus Christ, the true Light of the world (John 8:12).
  3. Because prayer changes nations. When God’s people intercede, strongholds are broken, lives are healed, and salvation comes (2 Chronicles 7:14).

Prayer Pointers

1

Pray for Jesus Christ to be exalted in India and Nepal and for the Gospel to be proclaimed and reach all 1.2 billion Hindus around the world - 1.1 billion Hindus in India! (Matthew 24:14)

2

Pray for 50 new multiplying house churches to be planted among each of the 19 most unreached megacities in India and Nepal (INDIA: Ahmadabad, Amritsar, Asansol, Bangalore, Bhopal, Delhi, Hyderabad, Jaipur, Kanpur, Kolkata, Lucknow, Mumbai, Patna, Prayagraj, Siliguri, Srinagar, Surat, Varanasi; NEPAL: Kathmandu) (Matthew 16:18)

3

Pray to the Lord of the Harvest to send forth laborers to the 2,000 unreached and unengaged people groups across India and Nepal. (Luke 10:2)

4

Pray for houses of prayer and worship to be established in cities along the Ganges River - 850 million people. (Mark 11:17)

5

Pray for John 17 oneness among the believers in India and Nepal - Ask for the Holy Spirit to dismantle any misconceptions and divisive attitudes regarding Christianity and Christ among communities. (John 17:23)

6

Pray for an acceleration of Bible translation in Northern Indian languages: 1. BHOJPURI, 2. MAGAHI, 3. BRAJ BRASHA, 4. BOLI, 5. THARU, 6. BAJIKA, 7. ANGIKA – this is most important in order to see the Gospel accelerate amongst languages in Northern India. (2 Thess 3:1)

7

Pray for believers experiencing persecution to stand firm - for freedom to worship and share the Gospel. (Acts 4:31)

8

Pray for a mighty children and youth prayer movement to be launched through the 2BC vision - Over 600 million under 25 - to discover identity and purpose. (Joel 2:28)

9

Pray for the breakthrough of the Gospel and the love of Christ in Varanasi – the founding city of Hinduism. Ask the Lord Jesus to bind the principalities and powers over this city and remove the veil of blindness over the minds of unbelievers that they might see the light of the Gospel in the face of Jesus! (2 Cor. 4:4-6)

10

Pray for the oppressed and forgotten - Dalits, migrants, and the poor - to know their dignity in Christ. “The Lord sets prisoners free.” (Psalm 146:7)

11

Pray for migrants and laborers who leave villages for survival. Ask that they find hope in Jesus. “The harvest is plentiful, but the workers are few.” (Matthew 9:37-38)

12

Pray for women, girls, and families who suffer trauma and injustice to be restored by Christ’s love. “He will rescue them from oppression and violence.” (Psalm 72:14)

Together, let us believe for a mighty harvest -
because God sees, God heals, and God saves!
