110 Cities Where the Good News Has Yet to Travel To

Every dot on the map is a city. Every city is filled with people. Every person is deeply loved by God.

Throughout this guide, you will spot special city links. Each one introduces you to one of 19 important cities in South Asia where many Hindu people live.

Think of each city as a pin on a giant prayer map. When you see a city name, you can click its link to visit the city’s profile at 110 Städte, discover more about the people who live there, and find extra ways to pray. The 19-city list includes places in India and Nepal such as Ahmedabad, Kolkata, Kathmandu, Prayagraj, and Varanasi.

Warum für Städte beten?

Cities are busy places full of stories. They are home to families, children, schools, workplaces, music, food, and neighbourhoods. They are also places where new ideas travel quickly and where people from many towns, languages, and backgrounds meet.

Jesus cared deeply about cities. The Bible tells us that He wept over Jerusalem because He loved the people there. God still sees every person in every place. You are special, and each child and adult means a lot to Him. No one can replace you because He has created us with unique talents and abilities to shine His love to others!

More and more people are moving to cities. That means when we pray for a city, we are praying for many families and communities at once. And when someone hears the good news of Jesus and chooses to follow Him, that hope can spread through friendships, homes, schools, and neighbourhoods.

These cities matter because:

  • They are home to many different language groups and communities.
  • They are places where millions of people live, work, study, and raise families.
  • They can become places where hope spreads quickly from one person to another.
  • Christians around the world are praying for people in these cities to have access to the Bible, to meet followers of Jesus, and to have the chance to learn about Him.

Why these 110 cities?

The 110 Cities focuses prayer on major cities where many people have had little opportunity to hear the good news of Jesus in a way they can understand. These cities were chosen because they include a very large share of the world’s remaining unreached people groups and languages.

Your special role

God invites ordinary people, like you and other children, to pray. You do not have to travel across the world to join in. You can learn about a city, ask God to bless the people who live there, and pray that they will have opportunities to hear about Jesus.
