I live in Myanmar, a land of breathtaking beauty and deep pain. Our country stretches across mountains, plains, and rivers — a meeting place of many peoples and cultures. The Burman majority makes up more than half of our population, yet we are a tapestry of many ethnic groups, each with its own language, dress, and traditions. In the hills and borderlands, small communities live quietly, holding on to their identity and hope.

But our diversity has not come without suffering. Since 2017, the Rohingya and many others have endured unimaginable persecution. Entire villages have been burned, and hundreds of thousands have fled their homes. I have seen the grief in people’s eyes — mothers searching for missing sons, children growing up as refugees. The weight of injustice here is heavy, but I believe the Lord still weeps with us and has not turned His face away.

In Yangon, our nation’s largest city, life moves fast and the world feels close. Yet even here, amid hardship and fear, God is working quietly through His people. The church in Myanmar is small but strong. We pray for His kingdom to come — for justice to roll down like waters, for hearts to be healed, and for the love of Jesus to bring peace to this broken land. I believe the light of Christ will yet rise over Myanmar, and the darkness will not overcome it.
