Here in the south, life is busy and full of opportunity. Factories hum, markets overflow, and industries drive the economy. But beyond the city’s activity, many families still live one day at a time, hoping to make enough to survive. In the north, my brothers and sisters in Christ face constant threat from బోకో హరామ్ and other extremist groups. Entire villages have been burned, churches destroyed, and countless lives lost. Yet even there, the Church is alive — praying, forgiving, and shining the love of Christ in the face of violence.

Though Nigeria is Africa’s most populous and wealthiest nation, over half our people live below the poverty line, and millions of children suffer from hunger. But I believe this is our moment — a time for the Nigerian Church to rise. Ibadan may be one city among many, but I believe from these hills, living water will flow across the nation, healing the land and its people.
