AMMAN

YORDANI
Rudi nyuma

When I walk the rocky hills and desert valleys of Jordan, I feel the weight of history beneath my feet. This land still whispers the names of Moab, Gilead, and Edom — places once spoken of by prophets and kings. The Jordan Riverflows quietly through our nation, carrying memories of God’s promises and miracles — of crossings into new beginnings and faith tested in the wilderness.

Our capital, Amman, rises on its ancient hills, once the stronghold of the Ammonites and later taken by King David’s general, Joab. Today, it’s a city of glass towers and bustling markets, a crossroads of trade and cultures. To the world, Jordan seems peaceful compared to its neighbors, but I know that true peace has yet to take root in many hearts here.

My people are proud, generous, and deeply tied to our traditions — yet most have never heard the message of Jesus. I often think of how David once conquered this city, but now I pray for a different kind of victory: not one of sword and power, but of grace and truth. I long for the Son of David to reign over our hearts, bringing light to every home and hope to every desert place.

I believe God will write a new story for Jordan — one where dry land blooms with spiritual life, and this nation, known for its ancient faith, becomes a place of living faith in Christ.
