Ayodhya dan Allahabad/Prayagraj
When people are searching for a god in many different places, how can they encounter the one true God through Jesus?
Ayodhya and Prayagraj are important cities along the Ganges region of northern India. Ayodhya stands beside the Sarayu River and is closely connected with Hindu stories about Rama, and it being Rama’s birthplace. Prayagraj lies where the Ganges and Yamuna meet at the Sangam, a place visited by many pilgrims. The cities are filled with riverside steps, markets, families, schools, festivals, and busy streets. We can pray that people will encounter Jesus. Pray that they know they are loved by God, and have freedom to ask honest questions about faith. Bania families are found in many parts of India.

Lord, may the communities of Ayodhya and Allahabad/Prayagraj know that nothing is impossible for you. Just as the river flows through this area, may your Spirit flow through them and nourish all those that they encounter. Finally, Lord, part the Heavens and come down once again. With your consuming fire, burn away the idolatry and bring your peace in its place. Release them from the chains that bind them in Jesus’ name. Amen.

Pray for the Gospel as it goes out. Pray people would develop a love for God’s word and begin to seek God through it with all their hearts, souls, and minds.
Pray for the Holy Spirit to move in the hearts of the people. Pray they would be soft and receive the word with joy. Then, search the scriptures to see what is shared with them is true and turn from their idols to the one true God.
Pray for them to know the love of God. The height, width, depth and love that he has made available through the life, death and resurrection of Jesus. Pray the people would respond and follow Him wholeheartedly.
Pray that relationships would be mended and tensions healed. Pray for those who travel to the area searching for cleansing and renewal that they would find the only one who can do that, Jesus.
Pray for families, children, local Christians, peace between communities, and opportunities for people to hear about Jesus without pressure or coercion.
What would you ask God to do in this city? Trace the triangle.
These two cities connect with Varanasi to form a Hindu spiritual triangle in the area. Let’s pray that God takes what Satan is using for evil and uses it for good. Pray that God changes these three cities to be a spiritual triangle that declares His praises. That people walking in darkness see a great light and are set free from the powers of darkness.
