I live in Bandung, the capital of West Java, surrounded by green hills and the hum of city life. Indonesia, my homeland, stretches across thousands of islands—each unique, each alive with its own language and culture. Our national motto, “Unity in Diversity,” feels both beautiful and fragile here. More than 300 ethnic groups and over 600 languages fill this archipelago with color and complexity, yet faith often divides where diversity could unite.
In my city, the Sunda people form the heartbeat of society. They are warm, devoted, and deeply rooted in 이슬람교, holding tightly to faith and tradition. But beneath that devotion lies a quiet searching—questions about peace, purpose, and truth. Persecution has grown stronger across Indonesia; churches are watched, believers are threatened, and some are attacked. Still, the Church stands, shining brighter under pressure.
Even as terrorist cells rise, so too does courage. I’ve seen followers of Jesus love their neighbors boldly, serve the poor, and share hope that no law can silence. Here in Bandung, among the Sunda, I believe the harvest is near. The same God who calmed the seas of Galilee can calm the spiritual storms of Indonesia—and bring revival across these islands.
기도해주세요 the Sunda people—the largest unreached group in Indonesia—to encounter Jesus and receive His peace. (요한복음 14:27)
기도해주세요 the Church in Indonesia to stand firm amid persecution and to reflect Christ’s love with boldness. (Ephesians 6:13–14)
기도해주세요 believers in Bandung to bring unity across ethnic and religious divides through the power of the Gospel. (John 17:21)
기도해주세요 those involved in violence and extremism to have supernatural encounters with Jesus and be transformed. (Acts 9:1–6)
기도해주세요 revival to sweep across Indonesia’s islands, turning this diverse nation into a beacon of God’s glory. (하박국 2:14)
