Nestled among the towering peaks of Central Asia, Kyrgyzstan is a land of rugged beauty and ancient tradition. The Kyrgyz people, a Muslim Turkic people, make up the majority of the population, while the countryside is home to many unreached ethnic minorities scattered across mountain valleys and remote villages.
Since the fall of the Soviet Union in 1991, Kyrgyzstan has regained political and religious freedom, yet that freedom has also opened the door to a renewed surge of Islamic influence. In recent years, the church has faced increasing persecution, as believers stand firm in a culture that often views their faith with suspicion or hostility.
At the nation’s heart lies Bishkek, a vibrant and growing capital where Soviet-era architecture meets bustling markets and modern cafes. Here, amid the noise and movement of city life, the Gospel continues to spread quietly—through faithful witness, courageous prayer, and the unshakable hope of Jesus.
Berdoa untuk keberanian dan ketahanan for believers facing persecution, that they would stand firm in faith and reflect Christ’s love even to their enemies. (1 Peter 3:14–15)
Pray for the unreached ethnic minorities scattered across Kyrgyzstan’s mountains, that doors would open for the Gospel to reach them through local believers. (Roma 10:14–15)
Pray for young people in Bishkek and across the nation, that they would seek truth beyond tradition and find identity in Jesus. (Psalm 24:6)
Pray for unity in the body of Christ, that churches would work together in humility, prayer, and mission. (Yohanes 17:21)
Pray for revival across Kyrgyzstan, that the Holy Spirit would move powerfully to bring spiritual freedom and healing to this land of mountains and wanderers. (Yesaya 52:7)
