Why Are We Praying for the Muslim Peoples?

You might be wondering, “Why are we praying for Muslim people during this prayer journey?”

That’s a great question — and the answer really matters!

There are nearly 2 billion Muslim people in the world today. Many live across North Africa, the Middle East, and large parts of Asia, and many more live in cities all around the world — maybe even near where you live. Behind the mosques, markets, festivals, and daily prayers are real people — mums and dads, grandparents, teenagers, and millions of children just like you. And God loves every single one of them.

The Bible tells us that God made all people in His image (Genesis 1:27). That means every Muslim child is precious and deeply loved by Him. But many Muslim families have never heard the good news about Jesus — that He loves them, forgives them, and wants to be their forever friend.

Muslims believe in one God and respect many Bible prophets, including Jesus. But most do not yet know who Jesus truly is — the Son of God who came to save the world. Jesus said, “I am the way and the truth and the life” (John 14:6). Through Him, we can know God personally and receive peace that lasts forever.

That’s why we pray! We ask God to help Muslim children and families discover Jesus in loving and gentle ways — through friendships, acts of kindness, Scripture, dreams, and courageous believers who share His love.

Your grown-ups are praying too — for churches to grow, for believers to be safe and strong, and for whole communities to encounter Jesus. And guess what? Your prayers matter too! When children pray, God listens.
