Like the first disciples who waited and prayed together in the upper room, we pray from Ascension Day to Pentecost for the Spirit to be poured out on the Church again.
After Jesus ascended, about 120 of His followers gathered and prayed with one mind. On the day of Pentecost the Holy Spirit came like wind and fire, and about 3,000 people were added to the Church in a single day.
The promise is still for us. We pray for a fresh awakening in the global Church: hearts set on fire, believers united, and the good news carried to every unreached city and people.
They all met together and were constantly united in prayer.— ACTS 1:14 (NLT)
Repentance and humility. Pray that the Church humbles itself, turns from sin and seeks God's face, so He can heal and revive His people.
One body, one voice. Pray for believers across every nation and tradition to be united in love, so the world will believe.
A fresh outpouring. Ask the Father to pour out His Spirit again and fill His people with power and boldness to speak His Word.
Devoted to Word and prayer. Pray for a deep hunger for Scripture, prayer, fellowship and generosity, like the first Church in Jerusalem.
Workers for the harvest. Ask the Lord of the harvest to send an awakened Church to the unreached peoples of the 110 Cities.
