J'habite à Dubaï, a city of glass towers and golden light — a place where the desert meets the sea and where dreams from every nation seem to converge. It is one of the wealthiest of the seven emirates, known for its trade, its beauty, and its bold vision for the future. Skyscrapers rise where once there was only sand, and people from every corner of the world now call this city home.
Dubai is vibrant and full of opportunity. Because of its large expatriate population, faiths from around the world coexist here, and there is a measure of tolerance rarely found in the region. Yet beneath this image of openness, faith in Jesus still must walk carefully. For those from Muslim backgrounds, following Christ can mean rejection from family or pressure to deny Him altogether. Many believers meet quietly, choosing faithfulness over fear.
Still, God is doing something beautiful in this place. In apartments, prayer groups, and house fellowships, people from dozens of nations are gathering in Jesus’ name. The same God who drew the nations to Dubai for business is now calling them to Himself for His kingdom. I believe this is the hour for the Church in Dubai to rise with boldness — to shine as a light among the nations that God has gathered here and to make disciples who will carry the Gospel back to their homelands.
Priez pour the Church in Dubai to stand boldly in faith and love, shining the light of Christ among the nations gathered there. (Matthieu 5:14–16)
Priez pour believers from Muslim backgrounds to be strengthened and protected as they face pressure from family and society. (1 Peter 4:14)
Priez pour expatriate Christians to see their work and presence in Dubai as part of God’s mission to reach the world. (Colossians 3:23–24)
Priez pour unity and courage among the city’s diverse believers as they gather in homes and workplaces to worship and disciple others. (Philippians 1:27)
Priez pour Dubai to become more than a global trade hub — a spiritual crossroads where the nations encounter Jesus and carry His message back to their homelands. (Ésaïe 49:6)
