Yo vivo en Diyarbakir, a city built of black basalt stone along the banks of the Tigris River — a place as ancient as it is enduring. This region holds deep history; prophets once walked these lands, and nearly 60% de los lugares mencionados en las Escrituras lie within the borders of modern-day Turkey. From the ruins of Ephesus to the hills of Antioch, this nation has been a stage for God’s unfolding story.

Yet today, mosques fill our skylines, and the Turks remain one of the largest unreached people groups on earth. Our nation stands as a bridge between Europa y Oriente Medio, carrying both Western ideas and Islamic tradition — a crossroads of cultures, but still a land waiting to rediscover the Way of Christ.

Here in Diyarbakir, many of my neighbors are Kurds, a people known for resilience and hospitality, but few have ever heard the Gospel in their own language. Still, I believe the same Spirit that moved across Asia Minor in the days of Paul is moving again. This land, once a cradle of faith, will not remain silent forever. I long for the day when it can once more be said: “Todos los que habitaban en Asia oyeron la palabra del Señor.”

• Orar por boldness and unity among believers as they share the Gospel across cultural and religious divides. (Efesios 6:19–20)

• Orar por the Kurdish people in Diyarbakir to hear and receive the Good News in their heart language. (Romanos 10:17)

• Orar por the Spirit of God to move powerfully in this land, reviving ancient faith and transforming hearts. (Habacuc 3:2)

• Orar por Turkey — that the nation bridging continents would become a bridge of the Gospel to the nations. (Isaías 49:6)
