Praying for Jewish communities across India, and Israeli youth as they travel there.

Jewish history in India dates back to ancient times, possibly even to the days of Solomon’s temple (1 Kings 10), with later references to the arrival of Jews during the time of St. Thomas in 52 A.D. Over centuries, Jewish communities such as the Bene Israel in Mumbai and Gujarat, Cochin Jews in Kerala, Baghdadi Jews in Mumbai and Pune, and Bnei Menashe in Manipur and Mizoram thrived. However, following the establishment of Israel in 1948, many made Aliyah (returned to Israel), leaving only a small community behind. Today, thousands of young Israelis visit India each year, seeking peace (‘Shanti’) in places like Varanasi, Dharamshala, and Goa.

During these 10 days we continue with a global prayer strategy which focuses on 110 Key Cities around the world. Please click on the links to these cities to pray for many people to follow Jesus: মুম্বাই | বারাণসী

Intercession for Salvation: Pray that the Indian Body of Christ would stand in the gap, interceding for the salvation of these Jewish travelers (Romans 10:1).
Safety and Security: Pray for the protection of young Israelis as they travel, and for God to reveal Himself to them as their protector(Isaiah 52:12b). May Israelis who are whole-heartedly seeking the truth find Him. Jeremiah 29:13
Friendship Between India and Israel: Pray for a deep, genuine friendship between India and Israel on the global stage, and that the eyes of the lost would be enlightened with the truth and blessing as You have promised
(Genesis 12:3).
