ULAANBAATAR

MONGOLIË
Gaan terug

I live in Ulaanbaatar, a city surrounded by endless sky and rolling hills. Even though it is our capital, the heart of Mongolia still beats in the open steppe — in the sound of horses running, the wind sweeping through the grasslands, and the warmth of family gathered in a ger (yurt) around the fire. Ours is a land of vast beauty and deep silence, where the horizon seems to stretch forever.

Most of us here are Khalkh Mongols, but we are one people with many stories. Our culture is strong and proud, rooted in the traditions of our ancestors. The spirit of independence and endurance runs deep in us — shaped by centuries of life in this rugged land. Yet, though our herds roam freely, many hearts remain bound by spiritual darkness and old beliefs that cannot satisfy the soul.

I have found the Good Shepherd who left the ninety-nine to find me, and I long for my people to know His voice too. The Church in Mongolia is still small but growing — believers gathering quietly in homes, schools, and city apartments, worshiping in our own language and lifting up our nation to God. I believe the time is ripe for every tribe and valley in Mongolia to hear about the One who loves them and calls them by name. The fields here are not only filled with sheep and horses — they are white for harvest.
