I live in Siliguri<\/strong>, a city where borders meet and worlds collide. Nestled at the foothills of the Himalayas<\/strong>, our streets are alive with the sounds of many tongues\u2014Bengali, Nepali, Hindi, Tibetan<\/strong>\u2014and faces from every direction. Refugees arrive here from Nepal, Bhutan, Bangladesh, and Tibet<\/strong>, carrying stories of loss and longing, of journeys through both danger and hope. Every day, I see how fragile life can be\u2014and how deeply people hunger for peace, the kind of peace only Jesus<\/strong> can give.<\/p>\n

Siliguri is called the \u201cGateway to the Northeast,\u201d<\/strong> and I often think about how true that is in more ways than one. This city connects nations\u2014it could also become a gateway for the Gospel<\/strong>, flowing from here through India and beyond. Yet, the brokenness runs deep. Poverty presses hard. Children sleep in bus stations. Families bear invisible wounds from generations of displacement and division.<\/p>\n

Still, even amid the weariness, I sense God\u2019s Spirit moving<\/strong>. I see quiet conversations about faith, small gatherings of prayer in back rooms, hearts beginning to hope again. Jesus is here\u2014walking the crowded markets, sitting beside the weary, whispering His love into forgotten places.<\/p>\n

I am here to be His hands and feet\u2014to love the refugee, the tired worker, the wandering child. My prayer is that Siliguri <\/strong>will become more than a border city\u2014that it will be a place where heaven touches earth<\/strong>, where His light pierces the mist, and where the nations that pass through these streets will encounter the love and salvation of Jesus Christ<\/strong>.<\/p>\n
