In 2016, after years of ongoing outreach and love shared with Hindu communities around the world, a group of Christian leaders sensed the Holy Spirit stirring once again. There was a call to revive a global prayer movement—one that had first emerged in the 1990s, when believers interceded passionately for Hindus during their festival season. That original spark had never fully gone out. It simply waited for a new generation of intercessors to take it further.

This guide was reintroduced not just as a booklet, but as a prayer tool to mobilize global intercession and ignite a love-filled movement. Over the past eight years, thousands of believers have prayed, fasted, and wept over Hindu peoples and places, calling on the name of Jesus to bring light and transformation. And we are seeing fruit. Testimonies are emerging. Workers are being sent. Hindu Background Believers (HBBs) are rising with courage and joy in Christ. We believe this is only the beginning.

Each year, we witness God drawing hearts into deeper prayer for the Hindu world. This 15-day journey is a part of that greater story—a divine movement of compassion, mission, and mercy. Our prayer is that this simple tool reflects not only information, but the heartbeat of Christ for the Hindu world. His love sees. His power heals. His salvation restores.
