Our country is a crossroads between Africa and the Middle East, surrounded by nations torn by war and hardship. Though small in size, Djibouti stands in a place of influence \u2014 a <strong data-start=\"591\" data-end=\"620\">bridge between continents<\/strong>, a harbor for trade, and a gateway for people and ideas moving across the region.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"706\" data-end=\"1109\">The land itself is rugged and extreme \u2014 <strong data-start=\"746\" data-end=\"775\">arid deserts in the south<\/strong> and <strong data-start=\"780\" data-end=\"812\">green mountains in the north<\/strong> \u2014 a reflection of the spiritual climate of our nation. Life here can be harsh, but beauty breaks through in the resilience of our people. The <strong data-start=\"955\" data-end=\"990\">Somali, Afar, Omani, and Yemeni<\/strong> communities make up much of our population \u2014 all deeply rooted in Islam and all still <strong data-start=\"1077\" data-end=\"1106\">unreached with the Gospel<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"1111\" data-end=\"1554\">Though the Church here is small, it stands in a place of incredible potential. Djibouti is more stable and accessible than many of its neighbors, offering a rare opening for the <strong data-start=\"1289\" data-end=\"1354\">Good News to reach both East Africa and the Arabian Peninsula<\/strong>. I believe this nation \u2014 once known for its deserts and its port \u2014 will one day be known as a <strong data-start=\"1449\" data-end=\"1485\">launching point for living water<\/strong>, sending data-start=\"1736\" data-end=\"1869\"><strong data-start=\"1736\" data-end=\"1748\">Pray for<\/strong> the Church in Djibouti to grow strong in faith, unity, and boldness as it reaches the unreached. <em data-start=\"1846\" data-end=\"1867\">(Ephesians 6:19\u201320)<\/em><\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li data-start=\"1870\" data-end=\"1999\">\n<p data-start=\"1873\" data-end=\"1999\"><strong data-start=\"1873\" data-end=\"1885\">Pray for<\/strong> peace, stability, and continued openness in Djibouti to allow the Gospel to advance freely. <em data-start=\"1978\" data-end=\"1997\">(1 Timothy 2:1\u20132)<\/em><\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li data-start=\"2000\" data-end=\"2134\">\n<p data-start=\"2003\" data-end=\"2134\"><strong data-start=\"2003\" data-end=\"2015\">Pray for<\/strong> believers and workers to seize the nation\u2019s strategic position to reach both Africa and the Arab world. <em data-start=\"2120\" data-end=\"2132\">(Acts 1:8)<\/em><\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li data-start=\"2135\" data-end=\"2269\" data-is-last-node=\"\">\n<p data-start=\"2138\" data-end=\"2269\" data-is-last-node=\"\"><strong data-start=\"2138\" data-end=\"2150\">Pray for<\/strong> a spiritual awakening in Djibouti \u2014 that this small nation would become a great light to its region. <em data-start=\"2252\" data-end=\"2269\" data-is-last-node=\"\">(Habakkuk
