Vrede zij binnen uw muren en veiligheid in uw torens.&#039; \u2014 Psalm 122:6-7<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Het Joodse volk kan vergeleken worden met de &quot;oudste zoon&quot; in Jezus&#039; gelijkenis over de liefde van de Vader (Lucas 15). Hoewel hij in veel opzichten trouw was, had de oudste broer moeite om zich te verheugen toen de jongste zoon terugkeerde. Toch is de reactie van de Vader vol genade: &quot;Mijn zoon, je bent altijd bij me, en alles wat ik heb, is van jou. Maar we moesten feestvieren... je broer was dood en is weer levend geworden; hij was verloren en is teruggevonden.&quot; (vv. 31-32)<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In dit verhaal krijgen we een glimp te zien van het diepe verlangen van de Vader: niet alleen om de verlorenen te verwelkomen, maar ook om de gelovigen te verzoenen. God verlangt ernaar Zijn liefde aan het Joodse volk te openbaren en hen te trekken in de volheid van hun erfenis in Jesjoea, de Messias.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>We erkennen ook de enorme spirituele behoefte: 8,8 miljoen mensen in Isra\u00ebl zijn nog niet bereikt door een getuigenis van het Evangelie \u2013 60% van hen zijn Joods en 37% moslim. Just as the Spirit fell on Jewish believers in Acts 2, pray for another mighty move that brings awakening, repentance, and joy-filled faith in Jesus.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Fulfillment of God\u2019s Covenants:<\/strong> Declare God\u2019s faithfulness to His word and His people. Pray for the revelation of His unfailing love across Israel.
