Malah, dengan 7.7 juta orang, ia adalah kedua dalam populasi selepas Kaherah di dunia Arab. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Ketika Iraq berada di puncak kestabilan dan kedudukan ekonominya pada tahun 70-an, Baghdad dihormati oleh umat Islam sebagai pusat kosmopolitan dunia Arab.
