Ia adalah bandar pelabuhan di Lautan Atlantik dengan populasi 3.4 juta. Dijajah oleh Portugis pada abad ke-15, Dakar adalah salah satu bandar asas untuk perdagangan hamba Atlantik. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Dengan ekonomi cergas yang didorong oleh perlombongan, pembinaan, pelancongan, perikanan dan pertanian, Dakar ialah salah satu bandar yang lebih makmur di Afrika Barat. Negara ini menikmati kebebasan beragama dan bertolak ansur dengan banyak agama, tetapi sangat sedikit daripada 91% majoriti Muslim yang beriman kepada Yesus. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Ini sebahagian besarnya disebabkan oleh persaudaraan sufi Islam.
