    (Sanaa, Yemen)<\/p>\n

    Sanaa is a city of beautiful old buildings with patterned windows, and mountains in the distance. Families there love their children deeply. Many people try their best to live day by day, even when life is difficult.<\/p>\n

    A boy named Ahmed was eleven. He lived with his mother, father, and little sister. Ahmed was kind and thoughtful, but sometimes he felt tired inside.<\/p>\n

    Some days, school was interrupted. Some days, food was simpler than before. Some days, adults spoke in worried voices.<\/p>\n

    Ahmed wanted to help his family, but he didn\u2019t know how.<\/p>\n

    One afternoon, Ahmed\u2019s uncle visited. His uncle brought a small bag of bread and dates. He also brought something else \u2014 a tiny book wrapped carefully.<\/p>\n

    Ahmed watched as his uncle gave the book to Ahmed\u2019s father and whispered, \u201cThese are stories from the Injil\u2026 from the Bible.\u201d<\/p>\n

    Ahmed\u2019s father looked around, then nodded slowly and hid the book safely.<\/p>\n

    That night, when the children were meant to be asleep, Ahmed heard his parents talking softly. Then he heard something he had never heard in his home before:<\/p>\n

    a Bible story.<\/p>\n

    Ahmed sat up quietly and listened from behind the curtain.<\/p>\n

    The story was about Jesus. It was about a storm. It was about peace. It was about hope.<\/p>\n

    Ahmed couldn\u2019t stop listening.<\/p>\n

    After his father finished reading, his mother whispered, \u201cJesus understands suffering. He is near to the brokenhearted.\u201d<\/p>\n

    Ahmed\u2019s heart felt warm and strange, like a tiny candle had been lit inside him.<\/p>\n

    The next day, Ahmed asked his father, \u201cCan you read more?\u201d<\/p>\n

    His father hesitated, then nodded. \u201cYes.\u201d<\/p>\n

    Every few days, they read another story. Jesus healing people. Jesus feeding crowds. Jesus welcoming children. Jesus dying on a cross and rising again.<\/p>\n

    Ahmed was amazed.<\/p>\n

    \u201cWhy would Jesus do that?\u201d Ahmed asked.<\/p>\n

    His father answered quietly, \u201cBecause He loves us. He forgives us. He gives us life.\u201d<\/p>\n

    Ahmed began praying a new kind of prayer \u2014 not long, not complicated.<\/p>\n

    \u201cJesus\u2026 please help my family. Please give us hope.\u201d<\/p>\n

    And slowly, Ahmed felt stronger inside.<\/p>\n

    Not because everything outside changed quickly, but because hope grew inside him.<\/p>\n

    One day at school, Ahmed noticed a boy sitting alone. The boy looked sad and angry at the same time. Some children avoided him.<\/p>\n

    Ahmed remembered Jesus welcoming the lonely and hurting.<\/p>\n

    So Ahmed sat beside him and offered half his snack.<\/p>\n

    The boy stared at him. \u201cWhy are you being nice?\u201d<\/p>\n

    Ahmed shrugged. \u201cBecause\u2026 I think God wants us to care.\u201d<\/p>\n

    Over time, Ahmed began encouraging others. He started helping his sister with her schoolwork. He spoke kindly to his mother when she looked tired. He prayed with his father for their neighbours.<\/p>\n

    Ahmed learned something important:<\/p>\n

    Hope is not pretending life is easy.<\/p>\n

    Hope is trusting Jesus, even when life is hard.<\/p>\n
