Once, Beirut was called <em data-start=\"455\" data-end=\"481\">\u201cthe Paris of the East,\u201d<\/em> a hub of intellect, art, and culture. But decades of war, corruption, and tragedy have left deep scars on our city. We are a people trying to rebuild \u2014 again and again \u2014 from the ruins.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"671\" data-end=\"1039\">In the past decade, over <strong data-start=\"696\" data-end=\"727\">1.5 million Syrian refugees<\/strong> have poured into Lebanon, straining an already fragile economy. Then came the pandemic, the explosion of <strong data-start=\"833\" data-end=\"851\">August 4, 2020<\/strong>, and a financial collapse that turned savings into dust. Many here call Lebanon a \u201cfailed state.\u201d Yet even as systems crumble, I see something unshakable: the <strong data-start=\"1011\" data-end=\"1021\">Church<\/strong> rising in love.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"1041\" data-end=\"1524\">Everywhere, believers are feeding the hungry, comforting the broken, and praying for renewal. In the middle of despair, the light of Jesus shines through compassion and faith. We are not many, but we are steadfast \u2014 carrying hope into hospitals, refugee camps, and ruined streets. I believe that what the enemy meant for destruction, God will use for redemption. And one day, Beirut will not only be rebuilt in stone, but in spirit \u2014 a city known for the radiance of Christ\u2019s love.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"1041\" data-end=\"1524\">Continue to pray for data-end=\"2110\">\n<p data-start=\"1982\" data-end=\"2110\"><strong data-start=\"1982\" data-end=\"1994\">Pray for<\/strong> refugees and the poor to find provision, safety, and the love of Christ through local believers. <em data-start=\"2092\" data-end=\"2108\">(Isaiah 58:10)<\/em><\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li data-start=\"2112\" data-end=\"2251\" data-is-last-node=\"\">\n<p data-start=\"2115\" data-end=\"2251\" data-is-last-node=\"\"><strong data-start=\"2115\" data-end=\"2127\">Pray for<\/strong> Beirut to rise again \u2014 not only as \u201cthe Paris of the East,\u201d but as a beacon of
