Selama berabad-abad, komunitas Yahudi seperti Bene Israel di Mumbai dan Gujarat, Yahudi Cochin di Kerala, Yahudi Baghdadi di Mumbai dan Pune, dan Bnei Menashe di Manipur dan Mizoram berkembang pesat.
