Damaskus dianggap oleh banyak orang sebagai ibu kota tertua. kota di dunia dan disebut sebagai \u201cMutiara dari Timur\u201d. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Kedua kota tersebut telah menderita banyak kerugian dan kemunduran sejak perang dimulai.
