Seuls les musulmans sont autoris\u00e9s \u00e0 entrer dans la ville, et des millions de personnes arrivent pour le Hajj (p\u00e8lerinage) annuel. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Datant du VIIe si\u00e8cle, la Masjid al-Haram (mosqu\u00e9e sacr\u00e9e) centrale entoure la Kaaba, la structure cubique recouverte de tissu qui constitue le sanctuaire le plus sacr\u00e9 de l&#039;Islam. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>L\u2019Islam est n\u00e9 il y a environ 1\u00a0400 ans en Arabie Saoudite, lorsque son fondateur, Mahomet, a d\u00e9clar\u00e9 qu\u2019aucune autre religion ne devrait exister dans la p\u00e9ninsule arabique.
