In Baku<\/strong>, the capital of Azerbaijan<\/strong>, the old and new stand side by side. From the narrow, cobblestone streets of the Old City<\/strong> rise the gleaming Flame Towers<\/strong>, their fiery silhouettes illuminating the skyline\u2014a striking symbol of contrast between ancient heritage and modern ambition.<\/p>\n

Azerbaijan sits at the crossroads of East and West, shaped by Persian, Russian, and Turkish influences. Beneath its surface beauty and progress, however, lies a nation where the Gospel is tightly restricted. The government\u2019s heavy hand has sought to suppress faith and silence the underground church\u2014but the fire of the Holy Spirit cannot be extinguished.<\/p>\n

As the towers of Baku burn bright against the night sky, I am reminded of God\u2019s promise\u2014that His light shines in the darkness, and the darkness cannot overcome it. My prayer is that these pillars of flame will become a prophetic picture of what\u2019s to come: hearts burning with love for Jesus, believers rising with courage, and the Gospel igniting across the nation.<\/p>\n
