I live in Makassar<\/strong>, the bustling capital of South Sulawesi, where the sea meets the city and boats glide through the harbor carrying the rhythm of life. Indonesia is vast and alive \u2014 an archipelago of thousands of islands, home to more than 300 ethnic groups<\/strong> and 600 languages<\/strong>. Our motto, \u201cUnity in Diversity,\u201d<\/em> feels like both a celebration and a challenge. Amid this richness, faith still divides us deeply.<\/p>\n

In recent years, persecution against followers of Jesus has grown. Terrorist cells<\/strong> continue to emerge, and believers in many regions worship in fear or secrecy. Yet even in hardship, the Church stands unshaken<\/strong>. The love of God cannot be measured, and His Gospel cannot be silenced. Here in Makassar, the people are strong and proud. The Makassarese<\/strong>, who form most of our city\u2019s population, are devoted to Islam and deeply tied to tradition \u2014 one of the largest unreached people groups<\/strong> in all Southeast Asia.<\/p>\n

Still, I believe this city will see revival. The same Lord who calmed the storms on Galilee can calm the storms in our land. I see God stirring hearts \u2014 through kindness, through courage, through prayer. The Gospel is quietly spreading from home to home, and light is breaking through the darkness.
