I live in Kano<\/strong>, one of the oldest cities in northern Nigeria<\/strong>, where the desert winds carry both dust and history. Once the seat of a powerful Hausa kingdom<\/strong>, our city remains a cultural and religious center \u2014 proud, resilient, and alive with tradition. Nigeria itself is a land of vast contrast \u2014 from the humid forests of the south to the arid plains of the north \u2014 and our people are its greatest treasure. More than 250 ethnic groups<\/strong> and hundreds of languages fill this nation with beauty and complexity.<\/p>\n

Yet, despite our wealth of culture and resources, life here is often marked by hardship. In the north, followers of Jesus<\/strong>live under constant threat from Boko Haram<\/strong> and other extremist groups. Villages are attacked, churches burned, and believers driven from their homes. Many live in fear but refuse to let fear define them. Across the nation, poverty, food shortages, and malnutrition<\/strong> weigh heavily, especially on our children.<\/p>\n

Here in Kano, the Hausa people<\/strong> \u2014 the largest unreached tribe in Africa \u2014 fill the markets, schools, and mosques. They are deeply spiritual, faithful in prayer, and bound by tradition. Yet I believe that God sees them with compassion and has not forgotten this land. Even in the shadow of violence and drought, the Church is rising<\/strong> \u2014 feeding the hungry, caring for the abandoned, and sharing the hope of Christ with love and courage. In the face of systemic collapse, this is our moment \u2014 to reveal the Kingdom of God through words, works, and wonders<\/strong>, and to see His light pierce the darkest places.<\/p>\n
