Laylat al-Qadr, the \u201cNight of Power,\u201d celebrates the revelation of the Quran\u2019s first verses to the Islamic prophet Mohammad. It is an exceptionally significant event\u2014prayers and good deeds done on this night are considered to be of greater value than all the prayers and good deeds done in a thousand months. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
This night is also known as the \u201cNight of Destiny\u201d when many believe their fate for the following year is determined. Therefore, it is especially important for Muslims to pray for forgiveness and blessings on this night, and many will pray throughout the night. Some even stay in the mosque for the whole last ten days of Ramadan so as not to miss this time. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
There are different opinions about the date for Laylat al-Qadr, but in general, it is agreed that it is most likely to fall during the last ten nights of Ramadan. According to many Muslim scholars, the night between the 26th and 27th days of Ramadan is the most probable. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
It is also believed that the angels spend this night in constant journey between heaven and earth, dispensing peace and blessings on believers as they pray. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
During Laylat al-Qadr, Muslims are seeking God with real focus. Pray that God will miraculously reveal Himself to them in dreams and visions. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
Many Muslims are seeking forgiveness for their sins on this night. Pray that they will have a revelation of Jesus, the Lamb of God who takes away the sins of the world (John 1:29).<\/p>\n\n\n\n
