All through this guide, alongside praying for cities and nations, we also pray for the Jewish people. Here\u2019s why they are so special to God \u2014 and to us!<\/p>\n\n\n\n

They are God\u2019s First Chosen Family<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

A long time ago, God chose a man named Abraham and promised to build a great family through him \u2014 the Jewish people. God said He would bless Abraham\u2019s family, and that through them, He would bless every nation on earth!<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Jesus Was Jewish<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

Jesus \u2014 the Saviour of the whole world \u2014 was born Jewish, in the Jewish town of Bethlehem, to a Jewish family. He grew up reading the Hebrew Scriptures, celebrating Jewish festivals, and teaching in Jewish synagogues. When we love Jesus, we are loving someone from this remarkable family!<\/p>\n\n\n\n

God\u2019s Promises Still Stand<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

The Bible tells us that God\u2019s gifts and His calling can never be taken back (Romans 11:29). God still loves the Jewish people deeply, and He has promised that one day, \u201call Israel will be saved\u201d (Romans 11:26) \u2014 meaning many Jewish people will recognise Jesus as their Messiah.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

We Pray Because We Love Them<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

Just like we pray for children in cities who have never heard about Jesus, we also pray for our Jewish friends around the world \u2014 in Israel and in every nation \u2014 that they would come to
know Jesus, the Messiah who loves them
