They are God’s First Chosen Family

A long time ago, God chose a man named Abraham and promised to build a great family through him — the Jewish people. God said He would bless Abraham’s family, and that through them, He would bless every nation on earth!

Jesus Was Jewish

Jesus — the Saviour of the whole world — was born Jewish, in the Jewish town of Bethlehem, to a Jewish family. He grew up reading the Hebrew Scriptures, celebrating Jewish festivals, and teaching in Jewish synagogues. When we love Jesus, we are loving someone from this remarkable family!

God’s Promises Still Stand

The Bible tells us that God’s gifts and His calling can never be taken back (Romans 11:29). God still loves the Jewish people deeply, and He has promised that one day, “all Israel will be saved” (Romans 11:26) — meaning many Jewish people will recognise Jesus as their Messiah.

We Pray Because We Love Them

Just like we pray for children in cities who have never heard about Jesus, we also pray for our Jewish friends around the world — in Israel and in every nation — that they would come to
know Jesus, the Messiah who loves them
and gave His life for them.

So what actually is this guide? Over the next ten days, we’re going to read ten amazing Bible stories — stories about kindness, courage, friendship, truth, and a whole lot more — and every single one teaches us something about what it really means to follow Jesus. Step by step. Every day.

Each day you’ll get a story, a memory verse, fun activities, a family challenge, a colouring page, some awesome worship music — and a little video from me! I’ll be right here with you the whole way.

This guide is made with our friends at 2BC — that’s 2 Billion Children — and they believe something amazing: that children, just like you, have the power to change the world! Not when you’re grown up. Now! 2BC’s big dream is for children EVERYWHERE to be on mission for Jesus.

So all through this guide, we’re going to learn to be what 2BC calls Champions — and that just means three simple things: Hearing from our Heavenly Father, Knowing why we’re special to Him, and Sharing His love with our friends and family. Hearing, Knowing, Sharing. Easy to remember, right?

Now, I want to tell you about something really special we’re doing in this guide. Every single day, we’re also going to pray for a real city, somewhere in the world. Some of these cities are huge — like Paris, where I live, or Mumbai, or Mexico City. Others you might never have heard of, like Yangon or Ulaanbaatar or Tashkent. But here’s the thing — in every single one of these cities, there are children just like you. And so many of them have never once heard the name of Jesus. Not once! Can you imagine that?

So when we pray for these cities, we’re not just saying words. We’re asking God to send His love there — through missionaries, through churches, through ordinary families just like yours — so that kids everywhere can know how much Jesus loves them. That’s what being on mission for Jesus looks like — even from your own bedroom, even at age six, even at age twelve.

And there’s one more really special thing we do. Every day, we also pray for the Jewish people — in Israel and all around the world. Do you know why? Because Jesus was Jewish! His family, His friends, His whole upbringing — Jewish. The Jewish people are God’s first chosen family, and the Bible promises that God still loves them and hasn’t forgotten His promises to them. So we pray that more and more Jewish people would come to know Jesus as their Messiah — the One their own Scriptures pointed to all along.

So that’s it — that’s Following Jesus! Ten days, ten stories, ten cities, one big prayer for the whole world including God’s first family the Jewish people, and ten days of becoming 2BC Champions — Hearing, Knowing, and Sharing!

Never ever give up on your dreams! I am Justin Gunawan from Indonesia.

Today I want to talk about dreams. Everyone, young and old has dreams.

I have a dream to be a speaker and a writer… but life is not always smooth. The road is not always clear.

I was diagnosed with a severe speech disorder. I didn’t really speak until I was five years old. Hours and hours of therapy have brought me to where I am now, though it’s still choppy and I have difficulties.

Do I ever have self pity?
Do I feel sorry for myself?
Do I ever give up on my dream?

No! It’s only made me work harder and harder.

Let me be honest with you, occasionally yes.

I might get frustrated, tired and a little discouraged with my situation.

So what do I usually do? Breathe, rest and relax
but never ever give up!

Justin was diagnosed with autism at two. He was unable to speak until five. He underwent 40 hours of therapy weekly. He was not accepted by 15 schools before finally finding one. At seven, his writing skill was assessed at just 0.1 percent, but his mother’s efforts to teach him how to hold a pencil and write bore fruit. By eight, Justin’s writing was published by a national publisher.

Despite his challenges with speaking and battles with his autism, Justin uses his writing to inspire and encourage others worldwide, turning his challenges into a source of strength. This guide is designed to be used in whatever format fits your family — there are no rules! Each day’s video and prayer guide content can be used flexibly, dipped into together or separately, in whatever order works best for you.

You might watch Cami’s video at breakfast and save the activity for after school, or do everything together at bedtime — it’s entirely up to you. Designed to take just 5–10 minutes each day in full, it’s easy to build a simple, meaningful rhythm of prayer into family life without any pressure.

The aim is not perfection, but consistency and joy as your child learns to connect with God and discover what it means to follow Jesus — step by step, every day.

Encourage your child to read aloud, engage with the Bible verse, and try saying it in their own words. The short prayers are there to help, but don’t feel limited by them—invite your child to talk to God freely and naturally, just as they would speak to a loving Father.

Each day includes a theme to help children grow as 2BC Champions—learning to HEAR God’s voice, KNOW their identity in Him, and SHARE His love with others. You may want to pause and ask simple questions, allowing space for reflection and conversation.

The worship songs, including the “Follow Jesus!” theme song, are a wonderful way to engage energy and creativity—encourage your children to add actions, movement, and joy as they worship.

Above all, keep it relaxed, expect God to speak, and enjoy this journey together as a family. Small, faithful moments of prayer can shape a child’s life forever.
