Ninive lag im alten Assyrien am Ostufer des Tigris und Mosul am Westufer. Nebi Yunis wird als das traditionelle Grab Jonas verehrt, wurde jedoch im Juli 2014 vom IS zerst\u00f6rt. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Seit der R\u00fcckeroberung von Mossul im Jahr 2017 sind bis heute nur wenige Dutzend christliche Familien dorthin zur\u00fcckgekehrt.
