Es ist eine Stadt mit 6,3 Millionen Einwohnern, die am Zusammenfluss der Fl\u00fcsse Blauer Nil und Wei\u00dfer Nil liegt. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Vor der Abspaltung des S\u00fcdens im Jahr 2011 war der Sudan das gr\u00f6\u00dfte Land Afrikas. Nach jahrzehntelangem B\u00fcrgerkrieg unterzeichnete das Land ein Abkommen zur Trennung des \u00fcberwiegend christlichen S\u00fcdens vom muslimischen Norden, der seit den 1960er Jahren die Umwandlung in einen islamischen Staat anstrebte. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Nach Jahren des Krieges sind Wirtschaft und Infrastruktur des Landes und der Hauptstadt in Schwierigkeiten.
